My name is Aravinthan (Ara) Ehamparam and I’m passionate about securing financial independence, both for myself, and for others.
I began investing in real estate to diversify (away from the stock market) for the future, and to have an investment tool which my wife and I could use for early retirement. My journey over the last 7 years has helped me inch closer towards achieving this goal, and if you’re trying to do the same, I’m a firm believer that real estate investing can be life changing; as long as you have a long-term horizon in mind, and a willingness to exercise patience.
You may be wondering, “Patience? Who has time for that? Besides, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of real estate agents who I could invest in Toronto with instead.”
And to that, I would say, “Yes, you’re right. Some of them may even offer you a get rich quick blueprint – but I’m not one of them.”
What I am, is someone who is invested in providing added value through my commitment to helping YOU secure financial independence – in a realistic and sustainable way. While that may sound like a lofty statement to make, I believe that my track record speaks for itself…
I am a disciple of the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement and a family man living in a condo with his wife and two kids – not out of necessity, but by choice – so that we can achieve our ultimate goal of financial independence in the next 5 years (We’re not parenting experts so if you can provide some advice in the parenting domain, that would be greatly appreciated!). In my personal portfolio, I did own a number of condos but recently diversified by liquidating a few to move up into multi-family properties.
BUT even if obtaining financial independence isn’t your end goal, real estate is still a useful investment to have in your portfolio – and besides, everyone needs a place to live!
I understand that the buying and selling process in real estate can be overwhelming, but let me try to make it as simple and fun for you as possible. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, or a seasoned investor trying to bolster your portfolio, I’m here and I’m ready to help with all of your buying, selling, and leasing needs.
If you’re curious about my interests outside of real estate, I also love: the Raptors, my wife, my kids (in that order… just kidding of course), travelling, food, reading, working on my start-up ventures, and Toronto (the best city in the world to call home, in my biased opinion).

I am a disciple of the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement, an owner of 3 condos (to date), and a family man living in a condo with his wife and two kids – not out of necessity, but by choice – so that we can achieve our ultimate goal of financial independence in the next 5 years (We’re not parenting experts so if you can provide some advice in the parenting domain, that would be greatly appreciated!).

“The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now.”
― Chinese Proverb
It’s really easy to look back at life with regret and wonder “what if?” Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to get that time back. What you can do is look at where you are now and make an investment that helps you be where you want to be five, 10, or even 20 years down the road.
“If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”
― Bruce Lee
The reason my wife and I began investing in real estate was because life is fleeting. We wanted to maximize the time we could spend together, rather than just making the most out of the time we had. Seven years later, we are first-time parents and looking forward to being able to use this time to cherish the moments that matter with our newborns.
